Martha's Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association is a great place to take a little stroll. Founded in 1835 by the Methodist Church it started out of the early19th century camp meeting movement.

Camp meetings were held in the summer and the visitors would "camp" in tents. The "gingerbread" cottages started to be built between 1859-1864.

There are over 300 cottages in the campground today. Each cottage is unique, here are just a few of my favorites.
